So, I saw this thing about the Miu Miu Gymnasium thing, right? Seems like they’re trying to, like, mix sports and fashion, which, honestly, is kinda cool. But then I stumbled on something else – the Miu Miu Custom Studio. And *that’s* where things get really interesting, and where my wallet starts getting nervous.
Apparently, you can personalize bags, shoes, wallets… I mean, hello, dream come true! But then I saw something specifically about the Chelsea store doing this made-to-order shoe thing. Like, YOU get to be the designer. YOU get to choose the details. Talk about a power move! It says you can customize two classic shoe models. I wonder what those are? Are we talking some sparkly Mary Janes (please, God, let it be the Mary Janes!) or some chunky platforms? I am SO ready to bedazzle something.
And then there’s all this other stuff swirling around. Saks OFF 5TH is having sales, AliExpress has “well-made” Miu Miu shoes (questionable, but intriguing!), and there’s a whole list of sneakers that have NOTHING to do with Miu Miu (Yeezys? What are we doing here?). It’s all a bit…scattered, tbh. Like, Miu Miu’s throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.
But back to the custom shoes. I’m genuinely curious about how it all works. Like, do you just walk in and start sketching? Do they have, like, a digital interface where you can play around with different embellishments? And what’s the damage? I’m picturing something that costs more than my rent, but hey, a girl can dream. And maybe, just maybe, start saving now.
