I was scrolling, ya know, doing the usual doomscrolling thing, and kept seeing little snippets about this “Miu Miu Gymnasium” thing. Apparently, it’s a pop-up situation, all sporty and stylish and stuff, showcasing stuff from their Spring/Summer 2025 runway. Which, side note, is already making me feel incredibly behind on trends. 2025, already? Sheesh.
But the real kicker? This customization thing. They’re doing it in the pop-ups, and then it’s supposed to roll out to Miu Miu stores and online. That’s HUGE. Think about it, you could potentially design your own little Miu Miu masterpiece. A bag, maybe? Or even a skirt! (Because, let’s be real, Miu Miu skirts are iconic. Remember Elle Fanning’s debut at their fall show back in 2014? Talk about a statement!)
And then I saw something about Kylie Jenner wearing Miu Miu to the 2025 Oscars. I mean, okay, whatever. Kylie’s always wearing designer stuff. But the fact that Miu Miu is dressing her for THAT event? It kinda solidifies its place in the whole “high fashion” game, ya know? Like, it’s not just cute and playful anymore (though it *is* still cute and playful, don’t get me wrong). It’s *legitimately* high fashion.
Okay, so back to the customization thing. I’m trying to imagine what that would even *look* like online. Like, would you be able to choose fabrics? Colors? Add little charms and doodads? (I’m hoping for doodads.) Maybe even design your own little logo or monogram? The possibilities are, like, kinda endless.
And speaking of online, I saw something about the Miu Miu Gymnasium pop-up being online until March 4th. Which, I think, means it’s already gone? Or maybe I’m misunderstanding. The whole rollout thing seems a little… scattered. Japan, China, Hong Kong, Korea… like, what about the rest of us?
