First things first, the actual *buying* bit. I saw some stuff about Bucherer in Luzern, Switzerland (Schwanenplatz 5, 6004, for the nerds keeping score) and Dubail Boutique in Paris (21 Place Vendôme, 75001, *oui oui*). Paris sounds fancier, obvs. Switzerland probably has better chocolate, though. Tough call. Point is, you need an authorized dealer. Don’t even think about some dude in a trench coat whispering “Rolex?” in an alley. Seriously.
Then there’s the whole “what to buy” thing. SS sports models seem to be the popular kid in class right now. Apparently, they hold their value, so if, y’know, the avocado toast habit gets out of control, you can sell it. Kinda like a fancy, ticking piggy bank. The articles mentioned replacement dials – so you can change the look of a watch.
Speaking of money… I saw something about buying at an airport. I guess that’s an option? I’d imagine you need to know your prices, like really know them, or you could get ripped off worse than paying for airport food. And let’s be honest, airport food is a crime against humanity.
Look, here’s my totally unsolicited opinion: Don’t rush it. Buying a Rolex should feel like a *thing*. You wanna be completely satisfied, as one of those articles said. It’s not like grabbing a pack of gum. Maybe do some digging, find an official retailer in India (another thing that popped up), and get some “expert guidance.” Whatever that means. Probably just someone trying to upsell you on a watch winder or something.
