I mean, Burberry. Classic. That kinda brand that screams “I have my life somewhat together, maybe”. Or at least, I *want* you to *think* I have my life somewhat together. And a decent shirt is a good start, innit?
Apparently, they’ve been at it for over 165 years! Seriously? That’s… a long time. They must’ve seen some seriously dodgy fashion trends come and go. I bet they’ve got some archive pics that would make you cringe. Imagine the shoulder pads…the questionable color palettes…yikes.
But anyway, shirts. Burberry shirts. They’re probably talking about innovation and craftsmanship and all that jazz. Which, yeah, fair enough. You’re paying a premium, you want to believe someone actually *cared* when they were sewing that button on. Not just some robot in a factory, ya know? Although, let’s be real, probably *is* a robot these days. But a *fancy* robot, okay? A robot with a tiny Burberry scarf.
Online stores are selling them in India, I see. That makes sense. Burberry’s got that global reach, doesn’t it? Everyone wants a piece of that British heritage…even if, like, they’ve never actually *been* to Britain. *cough* Like me, maybe *cough*.
I saw some other stuff being advertised with the shirts, some kind of clip bag or snip bag, or whatever. Honestly, who names these things? “Snip bag”? Sounds like something you’d use to cut your fingernails on the go. Not exactly high fashion. But hey, maybe I’m just out of touch. My “fashion sense” peaked in like, 2012.
So, back to the shirts. Look, they’re probably nice. They’re Burberry. You’re gonna get decent quality, probably a nice fit, and that little check pattern that everyone recognizes. But are they worth the price tag? That’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it? (Well, not a MILLION dollars. More like, a few hundred. Still, a lot for a shirt!)
Personally, I’m always on the fence. Like, I *want* one. I want to feel fancy. But then I look at my bank account and think, “Nah, I’ll just stick with my H&M specials and pretend I’m stylish.” Which, let’s be honest, works just fine.
