Right off the bat, what even *is* “EU Stock”? I’m guessing it means they’re, like, stored in Europe? Makes sense, seeing as Valentino is Italian, obvs. Anyway, from the snippets I’ve been looking at (courtesy of our robot overlords collecting info from the web), it looks like there’s a TON of Valentino shoes floating around, and not just new stuff either.
You’ve got your rockstud slingbacks – those iconic things that scream “I have money but also a kinda edgy taste,” available at Mytheresa. Then there’s the VLogo ankle boots, which, tbh, are probably everywhere because black ankle boots are a staple, y’know? And eBay! Someone’s definitely trying to offload their pre-loved Valentinos on eBay. Probably regretting impulse buys, we’ve all been there, right?
And then, get this, crochet sandals. “Lake Powell crochet sandals.” I… I don’t even know. Valentino doing crochet? Okay. I mean, I’m not hating, but crochet and Valentino just don’t compute in my brain. Like, it feels more Free People than high fashion, but hey, what do I know? Maybe they’re super cool and I’m just out of touch. (Probably am.)
Oh, and the sales! The OUTNET is mentioned, which is basically where designer stuff goes to die… well, not die, but you know, *live out its days at a discounted price*. Good for us bargain hunters, tho! Vestiaire Collective too, for pre-owned gems. Which brings me to my point:
Is buying second-hand Valentino shoes *worth it*? Like, are you really getting a bargain, or are you just buying someone else’s foot sweat and stretched-out leather for a slightly lower price? I dunno. Depends on the condition, I guess. Gotta be careful.
And don’t even get me started on the “Valentino Online Boutique: the Maison” thing. That sounds SO fancy. Like, “Come, spend all your money here, we’re pretentious and expensive!” (I’m being dramatic, I’m sure it’s lovely.)
Then there’s the Farfetch mention in Portuguese. “Sapatos Valentino Garavani na FARFETCH em até 12x.” Basically, you can buy Valentino shoes on Farfetch and pay in 12 installments. Smart, I guess. Makes it more accessible… but also maybe encourages overspending? Hmmm.
