Basically, I’ve gathered from trawling the internet (AKA, falling down a rabbit hole of fashion websites) that this “Mirror Laminated Nappa Intrecciato” wallet… thing… is a Bottega Veneta creation. Which, duh, the name kinda gives it away. And it’s gold. Like, *gold* gold. Not that fakey yellow gold, but probably actual gold-toned leather. Which is kinda bougie, if you ask me, but hey, who am I to judge?
Apparently, it’s made of woven lambskin leather. Intrecciato, they call it. Sounds fancy, right? It’s that signature Bottega Veneta woven pattern. I always thought it looked kinda like a basket, but a super expensive, ridiculously stylish basket.
So, it’s a small bi-fold zip wallet. Which means it folds in half (bi-fold, duh), it zips (zippy!), and it’s small. I mean, I’m picturing something that barely holds your cards and a few crumpled bills. Which, if you’re buying a Bottega Veneta wallet, you’re probably not carrying crumpled bills, are you? More like crisp hundreds, right? (I wish!)
What I’m really trying to figure out is the “mirror” part. Is it *actually* a mirror? Or is it just the really shiny, laminated leather reflecting everything? Because, honestly, a mirror *on* your wallet? That seems a little… extra. But then again, we’re talking about Bottega Veneta here. “Extra” is kinda their middle name, isn’t it?
And then there’s the fact that I saw something about a “mirror case on a strap.” Is that related? Is there a whole “mirror” collection happening? My brain hurts.
I also stumbled across some stuff about “replica” Bottega Veneta bags. Which, like, no. Don’t even go there. If you can’t afford the real deal, maybe just, I dunno, save up? Or buy a cute, non-Bottega Veneta wallet. There are tons of options out there that won’t break the bank (or be a cheap knock-off).
Okay, deep breath. So, to sum up (kinda), this “Mirror Image” Bottega Veneta wallet is:
* Gold
* Shiny (possibly *actually* a mirror, TBD)
* Made of woven lambskin
* Small
* Probably costs a small fortune
