So, I was just, like, cruising the internet (as one does, duh) and I stumbled upon this whole thing about Fendi mirrors. Apparently, people are shelling out serious cash for these things. I saw one listing on 1stDibs (whatever that is, sounds boujee), and the average price was like, *seven hundred* bucks?! For a mirror? Okay, I get it, it’s Fendi, but still. My bathroom mirror from Target probably cost, like, 20 bucks and I can still see my face in it just fine.
They’re saying the cheaper ones are around $357, which, okay, is still more than my rent, let’s be real. And the *expensive* ones? Almost two grand! What in the actual heck? I mean, I guess if you’re super into interior design and have a ton of cash to burn, then go for it. But personally, I’d rather spend that money on, like, a vacation or, you know, paying off my student loans (a girl can dream!).
And speaking of reflections and branding, it’s funny how people are obsessed with, like, showing off their labels in selfies. I saw this thing about how selfies don’t flip the image, so the brand name on your shirt is actually readable. Talk about marketing genius! Fendi probably loves that. Everyone running around being walking, talking Fendi billboards. I gotta admit, I’ve definitely been guilty of strategically placing a logo in a photo or two… no shame!
Oh, and I also saw something about “mirror luxury designer bags” that are “1:1” replicas. Like, that’s a whole other can of worms, isn’t it? I’m not even gonna get into the ethics of knockoffs. But still, kinda connected to the whole mirror image concept, I guess? Fake version reflecting a real one? It’s all very…meta.
Then there’s this Alupel floor mirror they had. It sounds super fancy with the embossed leather and everything. 85 inches tall! I would probably just end up tripping over it. I also saw that Fendi sunglasses are popular, which makes sense, because they’re fashionable and help you avoid eye contact when you see the price tag on a Fendi mirror.
