First off, you gotta admit, D&G *knows* how to make a statement. I mean, you see those sneakers, the ones with all the, like, *stuff* on them? You either love ’em or you hate ’em. There’s no in-between. Personally, I’m leaning towards love, but my bank account? It’s screaming “stay away!”
Then there are the heels. Oh, the *heels*. I saw some on Mytheresa, and girl, lemme tell ya, they were killer. Total Carrie Bradshaw vibes. Pricey, yeah, but imagine strutting down the street in those bad boys? You’d own the place. It’s an investment, right? (That’s what I tell myself anyway.)
And get this, apparently D&G is still doing stuff with Havaianas? Okay, so maybe not the *most* groundbreaking collab ever, BUT, you know, a fancy flip-flop can be kinda cool. Especially if you’re, like, rocking it with a designer beach bag. It’s all about the high-low mix, am I right?
But here’s the thing that always gets me about D&G shoes… Is it *really* worth the price tag? Like, I’ve seen some boots on FARFETCH that are gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous, but are they, you know, *mortgage* gorgeous? Probably not. But then again, if you got it, flaunt it, right? Who am I to judge?
Nordstrom also has a decent selection, and the free shipping and returns are a major plus. I mean, who wants to be stuck with a pair of shoes that pinch your toes after paying that much?
And then you’ve got the whole “Portofino lace-ups” and “Sorrento” thing going on. I’m not even entirely sure what the difference is, to be honest. Maybe some kind of fancy Italian thing? I dunno. I just like shiny things.
