I mean, you browse their website and it’s like BAM! Luxury fragrances, award-winning beauty stuff…it’s all just so…glossy. I saw something on there about “MAKE ME BLUSH LIQUID” – okay, YSL, you got my attention. A revolutionary liquid blush? Sounds kinda extra, but also kinda exactly what I need to add some life back into my perpetually tired face. Is it easy to apply? That’s the real question. I’m not trying to spend an hour blending blush, you know?
And then they have the whole “Dive into a world of singular makeup products” thing…singular? Okay, maybe a little pretentious, but I get what they’re going for. Mascaras, foundations, concealers…the whole shebang. Honestly, I’m a sucker for a good foundation. I’ve been on the hunt for the PERFECT one for ages. Is the YSL one *actually* the holy grail? Probs not, but I’m tempted to find out. They better have my shade, though. Nothing’s worse than spending a fortune on a foundation that makes you look like an Oompa Loompa. Seriously.
I also saw something about virtual makeup? Like, you can “try on” stuff online? Okay, that’s kinda cool. Less chance of accidentally buying a lipstick that makes you look like you’re auditioning for a clown convention. Although, tbh, sometimes I just wing it and hope for the best. Makeup is supposed to be fun, right?
But seriously, back to the foundation point…it’s gotta have flawless coverage. No cakey-ness, no settling into fine lines (which, sadly, are starting to become a thing – ugh). Just…smooth, even, radiant skin. Is that too much to ask? Maybe. But hey, I’m dreaming big here.
And the “Le Vestiaire des Parfums” collection? I don’t even know what “haute parfumerie” means, but it sounds fancy. I’m more of a “grab whatever smells good at Sephora” kinda gal, but maybe I should broaden my horizons.
