First off, you got the brand itself, right? Saint Laurent (or YSL, if you wanna be all fancy and abbreviated). They got everything online. I mean, *everything*. Bags, clothes, shoes – the whole shebang. Luxury galore. It’s the kind of stuff that makes you wanna win the lottery, ya know? Like, “Oh, I *need* that €2000 handbag, obviously.”
But then, there’s the *actual* Yves Saint Laurent Paris. As in, the museum! And that’s where things get interesting, in my opinion. It’s in Paris, obviously (duh), at 5 avenue Marceau. And it’s not just a bunch of old clothes stuck in glass cases (though there is some of that, let’s be real). It’s kinda cool ’cause it’s in his old couture house! Like, you get to see where the *magic* happened.
They’ve got retrospective exhibits, and they do temporary thematic ones too, which is neat. You can actually, like, get a glimpse into the creative process. I haven’t been myself yet, but it sounds way more engaging than just, like, browsing a catalog. They’re open Tuesday to Sunday, and uhm, last entry’s at 5:15 pm, so don’t show up late! They even do late nights on Thursdays, which is kinda chic.
And speaking of chic, let’s not forget the *Mon Paris* perfume. Okay, I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for a good fragrance. And MyOrigines sells it, apparently, and they do free shipping over €49, which, let’s face it, you’ll probably hit anyway if you’re buying designer perfume. Is it the *best* perfume ever? Dunno, haven’t tried it. But the name’s catchy, and anything “Paris” sounds automatically fancy, right?
Oh, and here’s a random thought: did you know there’s an Yves Saint Laurent *Marrakech* museum too?! Like, how cool is that? And apparently, they’re doing some kind of collab with the Paris museum from September 20th, 2024, to May 4th, 2025. I might actually need to book a trip for that, tbh.
